CCIA awards $5K Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge prize to Carnot Compression
FORT COLLINS -- Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) awarded its Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge inaugural prize of $5,000 to California-based Carnot Compression.
Carnot Compression, Apogee Scientific and Nanoconversion Technologies were the top three presenters at CCIA’s second annual Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge on Sept. 2.
All three pitched for the prize on Oct. 27 during the CSU Natural Gas Symposium, with audience members voting Carnot Compression as the winner.
The company’s unique centrifugal compressor addresses the heat, increased parts wear and higher energy consumption seen with standard oilfield compressors.
The check was presented to Carnot on behalf of CCIA and its event partners, Wells Fargo, ConocoPhillips and Noble Energy.
